About Course

Welcome to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

What is IELTS?

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration. Recognized by over 10,000 organizations in 140 countries, including universities, employers, immigration authorities, and professional bodies, IELTS assesses your ability to communicate in English across all four language skills—listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

Why Take the IELTS Test?

– University Admissions: IELTS is accepted by many academic institutions around the globe. Whether you aim to study in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, IELTS scores are a critical requirement.

– Immigration: Many countries require IELTS scores for visa applications. It’s a key step towards obtaining residency in countries like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

– Employment: A good IELTS score can enhance your career prospects, as many multinational companies and organizations use it as a measure of English language proficiency.

IELTS Test Formats

– IELTS Academic: This version is designed for those who wish to pursue higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking environment. It assesses whether you are ready to begin studying or training in English.

– IELTS General Training: This version focuses on basic survival skills in broad social and workplace contexts. It is typically for those who are going to English-speaking countries for secondary education, work experience, or training programs.

Scoring and Results

– Band Scores: IELTS uses a 9-band scoring system to measure and report test scores in a consistent manner. Scores are reported in whole and half bands (e.g., 6.5, 7.0, 7.5).
– Results: Results are available online 13 days after the test date. A Test Report Form (TRF) is mailed to the test taker and up to five institutions or organizations that the test taker nominates.
